JMeter __evalVar function reference: syntax, parameters, and practical examples for parameterizing test plans with dynamic values.
Also documented in context in the full Functions and Variables reference.
The evalVar function returns the result of evaluating an expression stored in a variable.
This allows one to read a string from a file, and process any variable references in it.
For example, if the variable โqueryโ contains โselect \${column} from \${table}โ
and โcolumnโ and โtableโ contain โnameโ and โcustomersโ, then \${__evalVar(query)}
will evaluate as โselect name from customersโ.
